On October 30th, Grace Community Church, on behalf of Riding With a Purpose, presented a check for $1250 to The American Cancer Society! Riding with a Purpose was founded by William Clarke, a cancer survivor, who had an epiphany to ride his bicycle as a way to raise awareness for cancer and other health related issues. His motto, “Go get your checkups”, resonates in his booming baritone voice. The church would like to thank everyone who donated! The inaugural event raised $2500, half of which was given to Grace as a partnering institution, to donate to the American Cancer Society for cancer research. We also honored breast cancer survivors, and those who succumbed to the disease, as October was Breast Cancer Awareness month.
